disappearing reappearing rash

My 4 1/2 yo dd has been having this strange itchy rash this evening. It first appeared on the sides of her knees and by her left armpit and wrist. I put some calendula cream on it and followed up with a dose of rus tox. homeopathic remedy (good for rashes and such). The rashes went away and then reappeared in different places with some patches being worse than the first incident. The worst was on and on the right side of lower abdominal area. At first it was only a few bumps and in 5 minutes spread 10x bigger. But then after more cream and rus tox. some areas started to settle down again. Whether its the help of the remedy - I don't know.

Also, my dh showed a few bumps possibly related to what she has but not nearly as severe.

I can't seem to figure out where its coming from. I did have to start her on anti-biotics for a bad ear infection 2 nights ago (immoxycilin -sp?). And on top of that, she's had a bit of a cold but nothing severe - mostly in her sinuses though she's much better now. So, I wondered could it be viral?

Also, dd and dh went out to play in the snow today. She was eating some of the snow but it was fresh and clean so I didn't think it would be a problem. It was about 3 hours later that the rash occurred. She was very bundled up so I know the affected areas weren't exposed to anything... I just can't figure out what this could be. Any ideas???

I'd call the doctor because a rash after starting antibiotics can indicate an allergic reaction to the medication.

Thanks. I plan on doing that.

Is it likely that that the allergic reaction from antibiotics only start a day & 1/2 later?

My allergic reaction to an abx occurred after the first dose (though I'd had that one many times before). For my dd2, she was on day 3 before she had a reaction to it. So it can be any time.
