Anyone have any info on why Unisom ( doxylamine succinate) is contraindicated while breastfeeding? I took it a handful of times for pregnancy induced nausea without thinking to check its lactation status and I'm currently nursing a 2.5 year old. I searched the 2006 version of Hale's online and it stated that its L4 but didn't give a clear explanation why (and it listed the wrong pregnancy category for it). Does the age of the nursing child impact its safety at all?
