disposables for vacation???

We're going to FL for a week next month and I've already decided that we must use disposable diapers. We won't have any access to laundry facilities, we will be spending lots of time away from out hotel and I don't want to be lugging bags of stinky diapers around all day. Anyway, I have no idea how many diapers I will need! Does anyone have any idea how to figure that out? My DD will be 8 months at the time of our trip and I probably change he 10 times a day now and she can go all night in a triple stuffed pocket. But I'm thinking i'll have to change her less with a sposie during the day and more at night. Anyone know or have a good guess??

Would you be able to get to a store if you run out? I use disposables on short trips and I find usually a package of 60 lasts the whole time or almost the whole time. I tend to need a big package of wipes because I find once you've used cloth wipes it takes a lot more disposable wipes to feel like you're getting them clean.

Have fun on your trip!

No I won't have access to a store to buy more, so I'd like to go with as many as I will need. Earths Best diaps are on sale at babies r us 2 packs for 20 bucks i was hoping i could get away with that. 2 in her size would be 70 diaps.

i'll just add that nature baby care diapers are biodegradable and are available at babies r us.. I used them for a couple weeks after ds was born and I'm pretty sure they were actually cheaper. but as far as how many to take I have no idea, but it sounds like u could probably still get away with using a pocket diaper per night and birng a small wet bag and use disposables during the day... sorry!

Don't be sorry! I was thinking about using pockets at night, but i didn't know if leaving them unwashed for a week would be bad. I guess i could wash them in the sink, rinse them anyway. I went to babies r us yesterday and didn't see that brand of diaper, the earth's best were pretty cheap so I got 76 of them. I am hoping that will be enough.

I don't think you can let cd sit for a week in a wet bag they may start to mildew.
washing them in the sink and letting them line dry might work but it doesn't seem that worth it to me if you're buying paper diapers anyway.

nannymom, that is what i thought about letting them sit. and i really don't want to have my diapers hanging all over the hotel room.
