Summer Pell Changes?

Does anyone understand what the changes are? I'm having trouble understanding... Do these changes mean that I will be eligible to receive only the pell grant amount that I haven't used in fall or spring semesters due to part-time status?

I have always been under the assumption that spring financial aid had to cover summer, but I could be wrong.

It seems that there has been a change for summer 2010. I've googled but can't find anything official, only notices posted from various colleges stating the same vague information. I sent in an email to my financial aid office so maybe I'll get some clarification once they open up.

I spoke with a representative from my university about Summer Pell Grants. According to them, if a student received the full $5350 during the Fall and Spring Semesters, they are not eligible to receive any additional Pell Grant Funds during the summer.

It only benefits students who did not qualify for the full Pell Grant amount during the school year.
