Cold Sore relief?

I only seem to get these when I'm pregnant. Never figured this puzzle out, but well I have one again. This stinker is right in the middle of my top lip.

My lip is all swollen and driving me bonkers! Is there any tricks that anyone knows to reduce the swelling? I have abreva that I've been putting on it, but the swelling is whats making me crazy.

Thanks!!

Time is the only thing that I know of. Sorry, mama. That stinks

Hopefully someone else will know of something

l-lysine supplement - at higher doses than a typical bottle recommends.

Lemon balm chopped up and frozen in a tea bag. Apply frozen bag to the sore for about 10 minutes. Refreeze and reapply every hour or so. It can completely stop the sore if applied early enough.

Just get a tea bag get it into warm water rub it along your cold sore any tea bag will work it will heal it quickly and if you feel a cold sore coming on you just rub it in that area it will stop it from coming up.

My aunt told me to do that and I decided to do that because I always got such huge cold sores that would look so big and scabby .

So my first cold sore i decided to do the tea bag trick it worked & went away by the next day .

I felt another cold sore coming on then I used the tea bag it never came up ! So I was like woohoo.

I agree with L-lysine. Also eating more yogurt helps. You can find lip balm with L-lysine in it.
