Little boy with too many belly aches.

My son Harvest is 3 1/2 and he is constantly saying his belly hurts. He doesn't have diarrhea or gas. He just has a belly that seems to be in pain too often.

Any ideas?

It could be one of many things, poor little boy. What did his dr say?

my DS is a little older, 5.5, but always says this as well, and we've learned that what he really is feeling is hunger. is there anything that will make his tummy ache feel better?? maybe he's misreading hunger signals??

time of day - before he eats? after he eats? before bed?
how long has it been going on?
did he have colic as a baby?
parasites?
food intolerance/allergy?
new baby in the house?

a ped. recently told me that constipation is a main cause of stomach pain in children.
