Basically, if I've got a monistat ovule/cream up there, and then I finally go into labor, is it going to be safe for the baby?
I'm thinking I may have a YI. The natural treatments have never really done squat for me, so this is one place where I've always just gone and bought the OTC stuff and it's always worked well and quickly. But I'm not really sure about the safety of the stuff if the baby actually comes out while that gunk is in there? Anybody know?
We already take probiotics regularly, and I've started up on GSE just in case (along with watching my diet and other simple stuff like that that we've done with thrush). But if it IS a YI I definitely want to get on top of it because with DD2 we've battled thrush over the past 21 months- mostly me, though (though DD1 has nursed consistently the entire time too and never had any issues with it), and I just don't want to start off a new nursing relationship with it.
Anyway, my body is VERY physically ready for labor and I've been having lots or prodromal labor this time so there's no telling at what moment it could decide to do the real thing, so I don't want to start a treatment that I'm not comfortable birthing during, ya know?
Any advice?
