following moon cycles

So I'm really enjoying The Spiral Dance... and just got Earth Path in the mail yesterday

Tonight is full moon, and I feel like I want to do something to honor (celebrate? what is the word you use?) that. I was thinking about a simple meditation outside (if it isn't too cold--inside if it is). Or maybe some sculpting... I think I would like a Gaia image. But this will be my first step in any kind of pagan ritual... I feel like such an infant (and I mean that in a positive way-- kind of like I'm being born or allowing something to be born within me). Like I'm feeling out a new way. It's exciting

I am just wondering what kind of rituals you do or have done to honor the moon cycles.

I Draw Down the Moon. Basically, I stand under the full moon, ground and center, open up all my chakras, and soak Her energy in. I haven't done it lately because I've been falling asleep too early, but it's a very powerful experience. You can also do it at the waxing and waning moons, to feel the different energies.

Blessed be!

Thanks for reminding me, ShannieSue - I have Earth Path in my pile of library books "to read". I"ll get started on it tonight!

I've always been mesmerized and drawn to the Moon and its images. I have no formal thing I do ... just will acknowledge it, watch it, etc. I'm extremely aware of how the full moon affects me (and not in a good way)! My kids and I do lunar crafts and read about the moon and make a point of going outside and seeing it especially when it's full.

I'm going to try what AlaskaMom mentioned - sounds fun.
