Dialating, effacing and no cntrx pttern

When they come I want to cry. I am very stretchy but cervic is still a tiny bit thick. No plug , or not much left but cntrx have a mind of their own. I am exhausted and this has been going on for 36 hours. They will get 2 minutes apart and then go to 10. Please help this mama get a cntrx pattern! I am so tempted to get a pit drip because of the pain and exhaustion.

My previous labor was like that, I felt that the baby wasn't in a really good position so I perused spinningbabies and did some stretches and lunges. Finally he got into the right spot and labor was smooth sailing from there.
Also some black and blue cohosh tincture...

position, yes...or maybe cord issue. Babies with short cords, or long cords that are wrapped around the baby enough to leave little slack for coming down well, tend to have labors like you describe. This does NOT mean the cord is necessarily a 'problem'. The problem is keeping up your energy while you and baby sort this out--which can take some time but most often works out perfectly. There is a wisdom to the process that you can trust.

And one other possibility, if you still haven't had the baby (or transferred care) and that is pendulous abs. If your ab tone is poor, and baby is hanging too low over the pubic bone, gravity can't help baby descend. Belly binding can really help. I've seen it start a labor in mere hours, with a very postdates mom, and also get a labor immediately picked up that was lagging like yours. You want to bring baby's weight up and inward, create a funnel to help baby descend well onto the cervix.

hope this helps!
Any updates?

Is there some sort of guide or pictures somewhere to exactly HOW to bind/wrap for this purpose?

Hmmm, there may be--probably at the websites where you can buy maternity support belts, of which I have no active links at the moment.

What has worked for me in very late pregnancy though, is getting a long, wide piece of fabric--about 10-12inches wide and a couple yards long. Have used a wider piece of lightweight fabric and folded it lengthwise a time or 2 to achieve the desired width. Then you wrap firmly (but not too tightly to move and breathe comfortably enough) around your upper hips/lower belly--it should go at least 2x around your belly/sacrum. Top edge should be at or just below your navel. Lower edge should be at your pubic bone. The whole band will be a bit higher in the back, mid/upper buttocks up to small of back (so, mostly across your sacrum). You want to feel that your belly is being lifted a bit upward (toward your chest) and a bit inward (toward your spine). If you use a piece of fabric, it can take 2 people--yourself and helper) to get it bound tightly enough.

Then leave it on as much as possible. Removing it briefly to shower is ok, but put it back on ASAP and sleep in it too. If it's what is needed and you are at/beyond term, then it should help pretty fast (within several hours to a day or so). Leave it on for as much of labor as you can stand, til baby is well down and labor is very very well established. But if you're earlier in pregnancy, then better to buy a good maternity support belt and use it instead just for ease of putting it on/taking off.
