Eye?

I am pretty sure my 22 month old has pink eye.
Thick yellow goo coming out of both eyes, swollen shut, totally crusty this morning.

What do I treat it with?

I have the homeopathic stuff from Walmart (Similicon???) but I think that is for viral pink eye.

are you breastfeeding?
breast milk is supposed to be one of the best things.
I have tried it on my kids and myself before.

My kids both have pinkeye right now. I squirted breastmilk in Peepers' peepers as much as I could on Friday, and she woke up much worse yesterday morning. So we took the kids to urgent care and got a prescription for antibiotic drops. I normally don't rush to abx, but she could barely open her eyes and the breastmilk didn't seem to be cutting it.

I'd get antibiotics. Eye infections can lead to blindness.

I don't have access to any breastmilk.

I took him to the doctor and they were not very helpful. They said it may or may not be pink eye. The did some drops in his eye and shined a light in it and she said the test was inconclusive. She gave him some abx drops.

Giving drops to a baby is not my idea of fun! The goo and swelling are no longer there but he is rubbing a ton and yelling "eyes Ouch".

Would one dose of abx clear it up that fast?
