How long does it take?!?!?

It's our 6th cycle TTC. I'm 7dpo today, and my temps are following the same pattern they have for the past few cycles, which would be great... except I didn't get pregnant during any of them. I'm producing tons of EWCM and Oing regularly (confirmed by temping), we're timing BD perfectly, have a normal length LP, we're both healthy, as unstressed as any 20-something professional from NY manages to be, and have passed any blood tests and DH's SA with flying colors. So what gives? Really... how long does this take??

Thank you for letting me vent.

I've heard that even under the most ideal conditions with no fertility issues, there is still only a 25% chance of success each cycle. It truly is amazing there is such a high population at all, really! I have also heard teh avg couple takes at least 6 months to conceive so maybe 6 times a charm and you are on your way to your BFP? If it makes you feel better, when i got pg my temps followed the same pattern except I never got a drop before when AF was due. It wasn't this amazing, pretty, high temped, triphasic chart, -so it could still be in your future!

With seemingly no health problems it took us 7 tries...

With as far as I know she actually was checked as was her known donor, Lyndzies also took 7 tries.

Unfortunately it can be normal to take up to a year It sucks... but it happens. And in the end it doesn't even mean your body has anything wrong with it, just that you haven't gotten lucky yet.

And yeah, my chart did not scream PREGNANT until after I got the BFP. I had a few small symptoms that I was easy able to brush off and attribute to other things (blood when blowing my nose - dry air, full feeling/nausea - Christmas holiday overeating) but otherwise it pretty much looked like every other chart I had.

I know, it's so hard to be patient. I'm 38 so I know that my clock is ticking loud and clear. Have you thought about taking any supplements? Not sure if you are taking a prenatal but I've started maca this cycle and I'm hoping it'll regulate my cycle a bit. Hang in there, this month might be your month!

It's pretty normal to take 6 month to a year. I would say if all the signs are right then just keep doing what your doing for a bit longer. But chances are you are perfectly fine. I know months passing suck, big hugs there.
I would be careful taking anything besides a great prenatal, not to say you can't but it sounds like you have a well balenced system and like Aesop's fable becareful of wanting more than the good you have, you may end up twisting your cycle up.

Have you thought of acupunture? It is often an overall good thing and done properly has been shown to increase odds. But again you sound really healty. Give it some time. And feel free to fret with us during any of it!

Thanks ladies. I know we're still within the "normal" range. I know so many of you have a longer, more difficult road to motherhood. I just never thought this would be this hard.

Finnegan'sMom - I hear a lot about maca on this site, but haven't started with any yet. I take a prenatal every day, and DH takes a vitamin too. He'd never take a supplement; I'd be willing to try anything that might work.

Adorkable - I've considered acupuncture, but haven't done much in the way of researching a place. If we don't get a BFP this cycle, I may start.

{{Deep Breath}}

Pity party over. Now all I have to do is make it through this week and pray that AF leaves me alone for awhile!!
