Breast pads?

When were you done using breast pads? I was able to go the whole day yesterday w/o them by pressing the heel of my hand into the opposite breast when DS was nursing and I felt the let down. I am wondering if at 2.5 months this is about a normal time to stop needing them or if my supply is being affected by the TED.
Thanks!

I think it's different for everyone.

Here is my experience...with DD1 I needed them for about 4 months, never a supply issue. I did the same thing, when I would feel a letdown coming, I could either get my arm across and hold it tightly if I was nursing or use my hand.

This time, DD2 is only 3 months old and about 1-2 weeks ago I started doing the same thing and it works! So, occasionally I still have big wet spots, like right now, lol, because I didn't notice the letdown feeling but it's good for the most part and I love not using them.

No supply issues this time either.
