8 months and no solids

Anyone else's babe not into eating solids? I introduced them to my DD at about 6 1/2 months when she was grabbing food from my hand and enjoyed eating for about 2 weeks but now isn't into it at all. She threw up from banana's (dry heaved for a few hours ) after enjoying avocado, butternut squash and yams but isn't interested anymore.
I wouldn't be worried but she hasn't gained weight since she was about 4 1/2 months. Her doctor has suggested a homemade formula. I was excited about it but my DD isn't and threw it up. Now we're trying goats milk to supplement my milk supply. My DD is drinking it (only about 4-6 oz a day) so i shouldn't be worried but I was wondering if any other babies are milk babies only.
thank you!

7 months and BM only. I'm sure it's normal. LO is interested and tries and tries but doesn't quite know how to chew yet.

We're at just about 9 months, and eating very, very little solids. In the past week she's shown more interest (starting mimicking chewing motions and will actually bring food to her mouth instead of smashing and playing with it). She'll eat 2-5 bites at breakfast, fewer if anything at all at dinner. I guess she's just not interested yet.

My DS is 9 months, and he's only been eating solids for about 6 weeks or so. Even now, he eats very little; I'd say about 80- 90% of his calories are coming from breastmilk still. After maybe 10 little bites, he's had enough and just wants to play with the spoon.

At first he was really not into the idea of eating so I didn't push it, until he was about 8 months. Then I made a point to offer him something three different times a day-- my motivation was the fact that he'd suddenly ramped up his night-nursing to every 90 minutes for several nights. Come ON! Moms need sleep sometimes! He gradually got used to the idea of eating food and now he likes it in general, and avocado, b-nut squash, and yogurt specifically. So maybe just keep trying, but slowly, gradually? Your baby is probably just fine on b/m alone, but I imagine you're getting worn out trying to keep her fed!

My chubster is 9 months today and he's had maybe a few nibbles of food in his life. He just isn't overly interested which is fine with me. He's robust and healthy (well, except we are all recovering from the flu...whew!) and loves his boobies. Our milk changes to become exactly what our babies need. It is different now than when they were first born! My guy hasn't been loading on the weight either, I think that's natural for EBF babies though. The formula babies tend to bulk up at this age. If your doctor is looking at a standard growth chart it may be intended for formula babies. The WHO has one out for EBF babies and the arch is different looking, reflecting the slower growth rate of EBF babes. HTH

& remember: Food before one is just for fun!

My DD is almost 11 months and she is only chomping on a very few puffs and teething biscuits. She eats so little of that, I still consider her to be EBF. I was worried, until I got some reassurance from my tribe that it's nothing to be concerned about. Good luck!
