insurance didn't cover as in network

and only paid $1,800 of the MWs $7,500 fee.

I'm hoping this was an oversight as they approved our appeal to cover the MW as an in network provider. I guess we'll see tomorrow when I call.

Well if you already appealed to have her covered as such it probably was an oversight. Insurances usually suck when it comes to paying for anything other than an OB.

ouch. Good luck - hopefully they will correct this. Insurance companies use every chance to deny a claim.

Insurance companies can be such a hassle some times. But then again, I would not want to be without. I hope they fix it for you.

bummer!!! at least i know up front that we're paying out of pocket .

I agree! I had issues with ours covering certain charges for both of my first two kids' births that I had to get straightened out too. I hope you can get it worked out soon!
