Lily Padz - How easy/sticky are they?

I nurse DD several times throughout the night. I'd love to sleep braless. Are the lily padz easy to do in a semi-sleep state? Will I mess up putting them on and leak everywhere?

Also, how long do they stay sticky if you care for them as the manufacturer recommends?

I just wanted to say, I"m in the same place as you-- cannot sleep with a bra on.

Now that my supply has regulated, I only leak at let down. I put a prefold on the other side at night to catch the milk. I don't know if that would help.

I know alot of people use the lily padz at night (well, this is based on the Amazon reviews) I don't use them for this, I sleep bra-less some nights, but still in a nursing gown (both from motherhood).

I like the Lilypadz for when I am at work, because I often need to go longer between pumping sessions than I would between nursing sessions, and they do actually help prevent leaks. They are plenty sticky, and retain that even after being washed several times. Or if I am out without the baby and know I'll miss or be late for a feeding (he'd have a bottle of expressed milk in this case) they are very handy.

however, I don't use them everyday, and never if I'll be NIP; I have got nowhere to put the padz while nursing, while the disposable ones, or cloth, you can just push them out of the way, and then pull them back up when you are done.

I am not sorry I bought them, and I think they are worth the $20 I spent. but they won't completely replace the regular nursing pads.

I had a really hard time with Lily Padz, maybe I dried them incorrectly but they lost their stickiness pretty quickly for me and I wasn't able to continue using them...

I did the same thing...just kept the prefold right next to my pillow.

I loved my lily padz...but mostly for during the day (after morning feedings when my supply was highest).

According to package directions, you're supposed to wipe off your nipple after you remove them, and before you nurse, to remove any traces of the adhesive. Keeping that in mind, I found them a hassel to use at night or when I'm planning on NIP. For during the day (at home), though, they were amazing. Don't regret purchasing them. I didn't have any issues with them losing their stickiness, either.

wanted to add: I always let mine air dry after a cleaning; if I am in a hurry I've used the blow dryer on low and cool air.
