dry finger food suggestions

Hi there - I'm looking for some new ideas/product suggestions. DS eats all his foods (except yogurt) with his hands, which he loves. I have been using o cereal and Happy Baby o shaped puffs as a breakfast item and/or occasional snack. But, he's not into the o cereal anymore and the puffs aren't something I want to give him everyday. I like these products, though, because they are dry, which means they are super-easy (no prep) and can be a snack when we are out of the house. I am not a morning person at all, so breakfast needs to be super easy. He eats dry cereal & blueberries or another fruit now, which he loves.

Any suggestions for other finger foods that are dry? Any other cereals out there that are baby friendly?
I try to give him as much organic as possible, and low sugar, low salt, healthful foods.

TIA!!

Anything slimy, just coat with crunched up cheerios. That's what I did bananas, avocados, and other ones that were hard to grasp.

That is a fantastic idea! I had heard to do that but forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder!! I'll try that soon.

Have you tried "puffed" grains? Puffed rice, corn etc cereal. Dd LOVED puffed rice for a long time.

I second the make-ahead-and-freeze pancake idea. You can put all kinds of healthy things in them too. Here's my basic formula:

About 1 1/4 cup of any combination of the following:
oat flour
spelt flour
kamut flour
flaxseed meal
finely ground sunflower seeds
other flours your LO can eat
Add to this 2 t. baking powder and 1/4 t. salt (both optional)

1 cup liquid: any combination of the following:
yogurt
fruit juice
applesauce
fruit or veg puree
water
breastmilk
Add to this 1-2 T. any oil or melted butter, and an egg yolk or two if you want

Mix wet and dry ing. until just blended. Fry spoonfuls (whatever size you want your pancakes) over medium heat on cast iron or nonstick skillet.

The thing I like about this recipe is it's so adaptable and you really can't ruin it. Freeze and pull one out whenever you need it.

Oh, so many great ideas - thanks!!
I'll look for puffed cereals & freeze dried fruit - I had forgotten about these! I think our co-op has the Bumpers too.
I've been trying to buy the Happy Baby Yogurt Melts for awhile now - none of the stores here carry them (that I can find) & the place online where I just bought some stuff has them but they were out of stock! Oh well, I do want to try those though!
I love the pancake idea! Thank you, sdbeachy, for your recipe. DS already eats & loves fresh pancakes. I'll just make extra & freeze them.
