Craving ....

Seaweed. I've been craving seaweed all day. I had a seaweed salad, miso soup, and a shrimp tempura roll for lunch today. And I bought nori to snack on.

And I ended up pouring the rest of my split pea soup down the drain because it's been sitting in the fridge for a week and I just can't stomach the thought of eating it.

that's funny, i actually haven't been able to stomach seaweed and had to dump a batch of miso soup, lol.

i'm having a really hard time figuring out what to eat these days. something will sound good, and once i either eat it or let it roll around in my head for a while, it starts grossing me out. i'm quickly running out of food options!

i had a side of cooked cabbage and mashed potatoes today for lunch (both w/ a ton of salt--the only thing that sounded relatively decent at the buffet mil took us to) and it so hit the spot those first few bites. now the thought of it is totally grossing me out and at the time, i was so excited to be "turned on" (lol) and was like, i am so getting more of this at the store! yuck, not anymore. i have "cravings" in the fridge waiting to be cooked but it all sounds so gross now. it's truly a lost cause.

last night before bed i was sooo sick/hungry but could. not. figure out what to eat. instead i whimpered myself to sleep. :/

last pregnancy tho i could not get enough grapefruit. i wish i still craved it.

I had a very vivid dream about potroast last night - now I'm not a vegetarian, but the majority of my meals are meat-free. I've been craving MEAT. So I got up this morning, went to the store and put a potroast in the crockpot with carrots, sweet and regular potato and celery. We just ate it with some fresh biscuits and it was YUUUMMMMY!!!

I'm already planning my french dip sandwich for work tomorrow!

I swear, I think whatever is in those rainbow light 6 a day prenatals is keeping me from being sick. I ran out of them last week and was taking something else and had HORRIBLE nausea. I got my shipment of the prenatals yesterday and once they got into my system, I've felt great and been able to eat. I love those things and WILL NOT let myself run out again!

That's funny because I was just daydreaming about miso soup and a caterpillar roll about 10 minutes ago. I might have to track some down next weekend, or learn how to make miso soup.

Yeah, totally. Rainbow lights are the best. Also, I really like the name. I'm a child of the very early '80s and it makes me think of the Rainbow Brite doll and the Lite-Brite light up thing.

MKsmith - I'm totally with you on the restaurant thing. I want to eat anything that anyone else wants to cook for me.

I've been craving Mexican food this whole time! Anything Mexican. Homemade, restaurant-made, and even spicier fare than I would normally be able to handle. DW jokes that it's because our little pumpkin seed in there is half Mexican and already knows what he/she wants to eat!
