Planning to ec from birth

Hello there!
I will have my 2nd child mid April & plan to EC from birth. Started at 5 months with ds.
Wondering if anyone has tips on good waterproof wraps to use, prefolds, muslins etc. I also plan to get some all in one cloth nappies- any recommendations?
Thanks!
Jen

When dd was about 3 months i purchased some waterproof pull up trainers from www.sassycloth.com. she will custom make them for any size. I really wish that I had ordered them sooner as they make pottytunities so much easier. They are really reasonably priced about $6 to $8 a pair depending on the ammount you purchase. If you are going to be getting diapers anyways I would purchase those instead of AIO's.
The pre-folds I have I purchased used from a diaper service for $1 a piece about 5 yrs ago and they have served me well.
For an infant I would make sure you order a potty bowl w/ a cozy if you haven't ordered one yet and also have a bblp or 2 on hand.

Congrats on your pending arrival.
good luck and have fun

Potty bowls (like from Continuum Concept) are a must. I had 3. I kept them in the car and at my place and at my parents.

I also used a little wool changing pad covered in prefolds up until she starting moving/crawling. She would lay on that at night and I could just slip on a dry prefold if she wet it. She would also lay on it during the day.

We also used a lot of prefolds with a prefold belt for super easy pottying when we were home.

After she got bigger, trainers as soon as she could sit up.

I second the suggestion to spend money on trainers rather than diapers. If you liked all-in-ones with your other one, then go for it. To me they are too bulky for EC. (Well, I haven't used all-in-ones, because of the bulk!)

With those first newborn pees, go for cheap and easy-wash when you're at home. E.g. lay them on a prefold, use an origami fold flat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aREQbJV0ls (jump to 1:30 to see how it works))

Then you can use your AIOs from your son for nights and out and about. If they're a little big, it'll be all the better since you'll be able to pull them down more easily.
