I just wanted to report that DH's surgery went well last week. I was off work for a couple of days to help him out and we really enjoyed the time together. DH went back to work on Monday and is feeling well. The doctor said they found two very large varicoceles that they were able to fix. The doctor decided to go ahead and do a biopsy on the testicles as well since his original count was so low. The doctor called me yesterday to tell me the results. Apparently, DH is completely normal, healthy, perfect!
The doctor even told me we didn't have to come back for another SA...just send a picture of the baby!
He said there is no reason for another SA unless I am still not pregnant in four months.
I immediately called my doctor and scheduled my Clomid consultation for Tuesday, April 13. I have already met with my doctor once about it and he plans on prescribing it, but wanted to wait until DH had better numbers.
I was bummed because I ovulated late once again so we missed this month completely...however, it works out perfectly as my consultation will be 15dpo or around CD1-2 so I should be able to start it next cycle! Woohoo!
As for those who asked about DH's clomid...he was take 25 mg every day. The doctor said DH could take it for three more months if we wanted and could either take 50 mg every other day or 25 mg every day like the past three months. We have decided to hold off on the Clomid for the next few months so they will be able to determine if the varicocelectomy or the Clomid did the trick.
Anyway, I have been walking around with a stupid grin on my face since yesterday afternoon. I'm so happy and hoping we are nearing the end of this journey.
Thanks for all the thoughts and well wishes. We are both off to Florida for spring break next week so I will not be on. Good luck to all!
