AmandaHope - Congrats on doing your two IUI's! I'm sure your timing was impeccable, and I will help by visualizing and sending out positive thoughts into the universe for you! C'mon O!

We're desperate to have another try, but have used up all of our sperm money and aren't really sure how to proceed at this point. This would be one of the times when it'd be good to have a kd, but that's just not an option for us. Still feeling low and wishing I could make some sort of positive action. UGH UGH!!
s Lady, I'm so so sorry. I had the same faint positive thing going on the last cycle and it was horrible how it messed with our heads and hearts. I hope that some way to pay for continued frozen swimmers becomes clear. Borrowing money from family? Care Credit (I know it can be used to buy sperm)?

Sorry you missed ovulation, but right on about each cycle being a learning experience. I hope the next one is your cycle!

Ooh, now I want to watch that. I recall watching the original with my Mom I think. I suspect there was blushing.

Fingersx! So glad the appt. went well!

Apparently ten women are now pregnant with his sperm! I was very upset, to the point of tears. When we checked a few weeks ago, he only had 8 pending pregnancies, but in the back of my mind I guess I thought this might happen. He's got some strong swimmers! We got to looking at our #2 choice, and he isn't so bad. I had them send 3 vials to my RE's office, and we will be inseminating in about 3 short (ha ha!) weeks.
Urgh, I know that feeling. Our first (and so far only donor - we did one round of frozen swimmers before finding a KD) seemed great, and then when we went to buy the second vial he was out, and we were warned that he was very close to his maximum number of "family units". Just remember that whichever donor ends up being the one to help you create a child will be just the right one.

AFM- Just waiting for my next cycle to start! I'm excited.
I had heard about that and am so confused by the whole idea. Does your temp jump after the first ovulation? Very neat! I haven't had a positive OPK early in the past, but perhaps I am one of those.

Excited for you!

WOW! it's all happening so fast! i am used to Oing on CD17, inseming on CD16 and now we will be inseming CD13 (our lucky number). WOW! and now i can just sit back and relax... well, try to anyway.
Sorry about the ultrasound being uncomfortable. I know the feeling. Yikes! Lots of baby dust being sent your way...

AFM, AF is here! I never thought I'd be so excited. This makes it Day 1 of the cycle of my first insemination, and Day 1 of the cycle I get pregnant! This will be my last period for many months! I'm all about positive thinking and visualization.
Woot!

I love the marinating, and the positive visualization. I think we are cycle buddies!

AFM:

Did our second insem. tonight, all went well. I am not sure if we're going to do another tomorrow or not, I think it will depend on what my temp does in the morning. I am going to try hard to remain as neutral as possible during the 2WW, as I made myself nuts last cycle. We are getting chickens in the next week, so I think that might keep me busy, baby chicks!

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking on this board for years, and we're finally ready to start actually trying to get pregnant. Hooray! We're planning to do 2 IUIs this month using sperm from TSBC.

Can I please be added to waiting to O?

Thank you!

escher, welcome! i hope your stay here is short!! when is O expected? what type on insems are you doing? frozen or KD?

sarah and AHope, i have everything crossed for you both that this is the cycle!

AMom, woot for your cycle starting... it's so exciting, isn't it!? FX that everything goes well for you this cycle and you'll graduate!

does anyone in the tww have test dates they'd like me to add? if so, just let me know.

afm, just waiting to O, but not with the normal stress of making sure i am lining up all of my signs. i am still tracking everything but it feels good that if i don't interpret them correctly it won't be a problem because the RE is watching everything for me!
escher12 - welcome!

wehrli - That must be nice, I am kind of stressing about my signs and symptoms right now and I wish I had someone to interpret them for me.

AFM - no temp spike this morning, so I think I may call KD and ask if we can get another donation for this morning. I feel weird inconveniencing them, even though I know for guys that often the whole process is not that big a deal. Sigh. I am also feeling concerned that rather than actually ovulating this cycle I am getting getting positive OPKs and the monitor is saying I'm ovulating because I'm developing PCOS. (I haven't tested for it, but I do have a bunch of the symptoms). I would love to believe that this is just a normal healthy ovulation, at a normal, healthy time. I need to stick to believing that. If my temp doesn't rise by tomorrow though, I will probably be sort of devastated. I feel like I can't take on another medical complication to becoming pregnant at this point without losing my mind.
Thanks for the welcome! My best guess at the moment is that I'll O on 3/28 (temp rise on 3/29), which would mean that I would get my positive OPK on 3/26 and we would do one IUI on 3/27 and one on the morning of 3/28. But I could be off by a day or two. We're using frozen sperm from TSBC.

Sarah & AHope -- fingers crossed for you!

Welcom ecsher--sounds like you have a regular cycle and things should go well for you!

afu--still having hot flashes from the clomid so I don't know how useful charting is going to be this cycle--we started POAS today, and we'll just be watching. We feel like everything is falling into place, but at the same time we have a few small windows of workable days vying against my cycle history which could have me ovulating anywhere between day 19 and 40 . . . waiting waiting waiting

7DPO... tick... tock... tick... tock...

Hey everyone !!

mtnlisa : The waiting is the hardest part isnt it ? Waiting to be ready... Waiting to O... Waiting the Two weeks...... waiting waiting wAITING....... Here, want to borrow my yarn and start knitting with me ? hehehe Glad that your HSG is over and that you got good news !

escher12 : Welcome among us !! Looking forward to getting to know you !

Wehrli : What your clinic is doing for you is what I wish MINE was doing for us ! My old clinic was like that.... with thsione we still have to worry about the timing... Sorry if the dildoCam hurt.... I can tell you that you will get used to it. One thing that makes it easier some is if you can insert it yourself... I know its wierd but I swear it made a huge huge difference for me.

AmandaHope : Best of luck on your TWW !!

As for us... nothing new... 7DPO... and its just long... and kinda scary. I really am running out of patience with this TTC journey... its been close to two years and a half now....... I am just SO ready...

mtnlisa, what cd is it for you? i wouldn't be surprised if the clomid makes you O fairly early... i hope everything lines up for you and you can stay as relaxed as possible, waiting to/predicting O is the most stressful part of the process for me.

coco, hang in there... that this is your month, you and your DP deserve it! when is DP testing?

Coco, fingers crossed for you.

Wehrli its cd10--yes, tomorrow i'll be the one sitting in the bathroom at work while I watch the stick & carrying dixie cups in my pocket all week--in past cycles I have just waited until I got home from work, but I don't want to miss that surge! I'll have a much better idea how close I am with the follie u/s on Tuesday. I'm really trying to just wait and be open to how it works out, to trust in the process! I do feel like the clomid will put me at the early end of my usual window, which could be as early as this coming friday....the waiting, waiting, waiting keeps on coming!

Well...cd 16 today. I did inseminations on Friday and Saturday, and my cervix was super open then and has since closed up a bit, but my temperature still hasn't risen, and I've still gotten all negative OPKs. I'm willing to consider that the OPKs just don't work for me reliably (they used to!), but the lack of a temp rise has me really discouraged. I do tend to have a slow rise (two days), so I didn't panic yesterday when my temp didn't jump...but today?! Sigh. I'm thinking that at the end of this cycle, I'll do a phone consult with Maia Midwifery (they helped us get started with DD when we lived in the Bay Area)--maybe they can help me figure this out! But I'm really sad right now.

AHope, don't stress... just give your body some time... i bet in a few days your chart just might show you O'd exactly when you thought you would! thinking of you and keep us posted.

mtnlisa, aahhh... the waiting...

afm, also waiting, waiting, waiting.... but i feel relaxed and positive! DP and i had a wonderful weekend... i just love, love, love her!!!

Ugh, the unpredictable ovulation is such a bear, especially when you don't have "ready" access to sperm living with you! Fingersx for you.

I am with you on this, it's been almost 2 1/2 years for us as well and it starts to feel absurd.

So sorry that things are not clear right now! Have you tried the digital opks? They are a lot pricier, but I was having trouble with regular ones and tried the digitals and it's been like night and day. Well worth it thus far. Or a fertility monitor? I feel like ours has been worth the $$$.

That's awesome Yay for great partners!

AFM: - Can I be moved to Waiting to Know please? We did our third insem. yesterday midday, and I got a big temp spike this morning. So I'm hoping the temp stays up and this was really it. If so we timed things perfectly, but we did the last two cycles as well, and it didn't make me pregnant. I am going to wait till 14dpo to test, since I was burned last cycle with imaginary lines. So I think I will be testing on March 28th. If I get tempted you all need to talk me down!

for everyone, this is our month!

sarah: You can do it! Here's hoping...

mtnlisa: Hopefully the U/S will help out with timing!

AHope: Have you had anovulatory cycles before? If not...I'm with wehrli!

wehrli: Glad that you had an amazing weekend, hooray for destressing!

coco: I'm knitting right along with you! One more week, you can do it!

escher12: Welcome!

AMom: I'm with you! That was my last one for a long time...

AFM: Planning a mini-vacation with KD and his wife tomorrow and Wednesday, hopefully with three insems. Should O on Wednesday or Thursday, so that'll do the trick!
AmandaHope - It sounds like you had some good fertility signs right around the time you inseminated, so try to stay positive! Thinking of you.

Coco - Hang in there. It's tough, but it will all be worth it in the end!

escher - Welcome! Glad to have you with us!

sarahcecile - for you!

mtnlisa - I laughed picturing you carrying dixie cups around all day. Good luck at your u/s tomorrow!

chiquitayy - Have fun and good luck on your mini-vacation

wehrli - Glad to hear you had such a wonderful weekend with DP. It sounds like it's easier for you to relax, now that you're in the care of your RE. Good for you! I think it helps to conceive if your mind is in the right place, and it seems like you and DP are definitely there! Good luck this cycle!

AFM, nothing to report on cd3, other than I've been having a hard time sleeping this past week. DP thinks it's the fear/excitement/stress of TTC, but I'm not sure... I'm going to try to go for a long bike ride today and hope that helps me sleep tonight.

Hey ! Thanks

Its sorta hard to follow since your temps are not in from the earlier days of your cycle. Could something be affecting your temps ? Do you sleep with a heating blanket at times for example ?

Also, do you test your OPKs at different times of the day ? We would have only gotten negatives this month if we hadnt tested in the afternoon as well as the morning...

I'll keep stalking....
I would definitely try to get more insems in if thats possible... in your other cycles, you Oed as late as cd20 and 21...

Best of luck and hang in there...
