is this good or bad?I am 34 weeks today exactly where I was when I delivered dd #2 in 2003.I reallly am not ready yet to meet little man. This is my third baby and with dd #1 I didn't lose my plug til 38 weeks she was born at 39 when my water broke on our bed, with dd#2 I don't remember losing my plug but my water broke on our bed at midnight exactly at 34 weeks.
my doctor is gone right now and I really don't care for his partner I am hoping that if I deliver early one of the midwives in the practice could deliver me.

I wouldn't worry, it is not abnormal to lose you plug several weeks before labor. The mucus plug also regenerates, so I wouldn't stress, just mention it to your care provider at your next appointment.

If I were you with the same delivery history, I would be ready just in case. I lost mine at 36 weeks, and everyone said dont worry about it, could be 3 weeks, and it was 2 days. And especially since your last dc came at 34 weeks.

I'd look at this, above if it is good or bad to lose some of your plug at 34 weeks. Losing it is fine, but with a history of early SROM, I'd be calling a care provider to talk about options.

Just my two cents.

I also had my last baby at 34 weeks after a spontaneous membrane rupture and am presently 33 weeks. I am very nervous about a repeat myself as my preemie had a hard go.
I'd contact your care provider, but I'm sorry I don't know what the empirical data say about this particular issue. (((hugs))) mama.

Though I will say that a spontaneous pre-term membrane rupture is generally not considered reason to worry about a repeat performance. I had 2 full-term healthy pregnancies prior to my pre-term rupture and since then have done some research on the topic. It's possible I had an infection I didn't know about, but I am not high risk this time or anything.
