Help me name Levi's Chicken

Well, for my 30th birthday (this Friday) I wanted chicks. We went and picked them up today! Woohoo, I'll have my very own free range eggs this summer! We got 6, so there was one for each of us to name and I need help naming Levi's.

So far we have:
Chicken Nugget
Honey Mustard (my kids have a twisted sence of humor )
Taco
Robot
Delilah

What do you think?

I'll be posting this same question and pics of the cuties on my blog in a little while. I'll put up the link when it's done.

yay chickens!!!! We have 18 and I blog about them... I sooooo love the girls (and our two roos). We got 11 eggs today!!

Love the names. We named the first bunch we got then hatched our own last spring. All 12 lived and 8 (!!!) were roos so we kept 2 and have not named the new ones. After a few losses (dog got one little chick, Toaster, Fox got Rita and daddy roo, Dottie (we thought he was a she!), and just were sad about losing named ones from then on.

I just love having them and so glad you do too!!! Spread the word at how wonderful backyard chickens are!!

btw:that is our coop & Buttercup as my profile pic!

Yea! That is so fun! We don't have the space for more and we can't have a rooster in the city so we will be stuck at 6 for a while. Nice coop! That's the next family project.

Here's that blog link!

So cool mamas!

ears73 - I can't believe that 8 out of 12 were roos! That's crazy!

We have pretty strict laws about owning "livestock" around here. I live in an HOA community so there is no way I could have any chickens, goats, cows, etc... A local friend of mine who owns chickens lives in a non-HOA community, yet she is still technically not allowed to have them. In order to have chickens here, you would need to live on land mixed zoned for residence/agriculture and even then you are only allowed to have 1 chicken per acre unless you own a true farm.

Di Linh, that is crazy! I've seen goats in my neighborhood, and even a minihorse!

I think every other house on our street has chickens. They're really easy and sweet pets.

Mandy, enjoy your birdies! They're so cute when they're little.

ears, your blog is so cool!

Di Lihn, I live in a non HOA neighborhood and am going with "It's easier to ask forgiveness then permission"

I'm pretty sure we can have chickens, just not roosters due to the noise ordenance.

I love the name robot. That is really funny. I have this image of a chicken running around in jerky robot motions... (of course the others are funny too - we had a fish named sushi once...)

snickerdoodle? sunflower? dunno... I named my lightest colored, smallest & cutest chick Buttercup and she grew up to be the biggest darkest one so go figure.
