Saludos,
Michelle

I'm a midwife (CPM), living in the US, of Chilean descent. I'm thinking of traveling to Chile to offer midwifery services for a little while. Does anyone know how I could contact someone, esp in Concepcion, to plan such a trip? I would hope to get in touch with a midwife, nurse, or doctor there.
Thanks,
Michelle

Michelle,
Just joined this forum today while perusing the web for birth info/etc. I am from the EEUU living en Chile. I live near San Antonio, in Rocas de Sto. Domingo to be exact. My hubby is a doctor and he is Chileno as well. We met and married in EEUU and moved to Chile in July '08. Natural birth is rare down here, but I have made some connections. I also attended a homebirth/waterbirth at my house last April. Hope to attend more in future, if there is further interest. I am a CPM as well and have been a midwife since 1981...so I am an 'old midwife'...ha!
If I can be of any assistance just write back to me. I will be in EEUU in less than 2 wks. if you wish to talk via phone.

Chao,

Jill
