Food Processor Recommendations?

Mine just cratered! I use it a lot and will have to buy a new one tomorrow. Anyone have one that you just love? Are there any that have a glass bowl? Are there any that seal (the one I had didn't seal, so if I made smoothies, it was a pretty messy situation)! What else do I need to think of?

I have a cuisinart 14 cup one. It's very basic but works wonderfully. I don't think any are made with glass bowls but I've never really researched it. I got a vitamix a several months ago and no longer use the food processor that often. If you are using it for things like smoothies why not just get a heavy duty blender?

I only occasionally use it for smoothies, but use it frequently to mince several days worth of veggies for dog food (big dog), as well as beans, veggies, etc. to hide in DS's food. Lots of things, really. I just was concerned about liquids flinging all over the kitchen when I do happen to make a smoothie or puree soup. Thanks!

I have kitchen aid 7 cups size. the blades attchment covers the gap between the cup and the stem so there isn't leakage. I love it!

I had the old ugly cuisinart, the boxy square 14 cup one, and it was awesome, it still works great. I got a new one for christmas, the 16 cup new one and I am SO happy with it.

I used to have a Braun but it burned out within a few years. I have had a Cuisinart for the last ten years or so and it is still going strong

I love my Kitchen Aide - the one with the mini prep bowl inside the larger prep bowl. Great for those small jobs.

Thanks for your replies! I was going to go with a Cuisinart, but was unable to find the particular one I was interested in, so I bought a Kitchen Aid Architect. Expensive, but OMG, I love it!! Good thing I'm a frequent user!!

I would have said cuisinart or kitchen-aid too.

A good one is worth the money
