Apnea?

I have a 10 wk old daughter. A few nights ago I picked her up and she was limp and blue. She wasn't breathing but within probably a second of me picking her up she was fine. I have a dr. appt for Wednesday but I'm paranoid to sleep at all. She sleeps with me so I'm pretty aware of her breathing but I'm still afraid. She's my ninth baby and I have only dealt with this one other time but not as bad (and seven years ago). Any experience/advice?

Wow that is scary- s to you! I think it is great that you are sleeping with her, hopefully your breathing will help her regulate. I hope your pediatrician is more helpful than I am.

I would put her on an apnea monitor. Your pediatrician should probably set that up for you, but if he doesn't recommend it, I would be insistent until it happens. The monitors are a pain, but until these episodes stop, I think it's essential.
