I won't really go full term, right?!

My pubic bone hurts. Like, can't walk hurts and can't lay down hurts and can't stand up hurts. The baby dropped big time around wednesday or thursday last week and I can hardly move now!

I'm not due until March 22nd and the idea of trying to function in this much pain for the next 3 weeks (at least) just makes me cry!

Surely, surely I won't last another 3 weeks? My OB checked me on Friday when she did the Group B strep test and said I'm thinning and dialated a little bit, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I walked around for 2.5weeks dialated to a 3 with one of my children and he didn't show up until 10 days after his due date.

And really, aside from the pain...I am *so* stinkin' excited to meet this baby!! I know it's our 5th babe, but I can't wait to see who it looks like, what it's name will be (I guess we may need more time to get *that* figured out!), how big it is...I just can't wait!!

I'm sorry you're in so much pain right now. I hope baby comes soon for you!

I dunno if this will work for you or not, but my chiropractor adjusts my pelvic bone sometimes (basically, I lie on my back with my knees up and he pushes my knees apart while I push them together until there's a click... dh does it for me, now, too)... especially when I'm in pain, it usually helps a lot. It should not affect the baby in your pelvis, but may give you some relief...

Thanks!! I'll have my husband try that this evening. I am so sore.

Yesterday I tried hot/cold therapy....used a heating pad and an ice pack ....heat pad for 3-4 minutes, ice for one....back and forth with it for about 20 minutes finishing with ice....it seemed to help. Supposedly the more you do it, the more it helps...I only did it twice as I was lying in bed all day and it didn't bother me as much as it had the day before..... Good luck...I'm hoping I don't last until the 23rd!

Careful - you definitely wanna lie on a firm surface (I lie on the carpet) but getting myself down there is fairly uncomfortable... take it slow

that sounds so uncomfortable.
I hope that the chiro trick brings some relief, and your babe comes soon

Gelatin, b6 and molybdenum have been keeping my pubic bone in check. It still hurts, but not NEARLY as much. Actually it's getting bad again... I think I'll try an epsom salt bath next. The sulfate (also the reason for the b6/molybdenum) is good for the connective tissue, as is the glycine in the gelatin.
