Mums of Many - It's March!

Oh my, I can't believe I got to start this.

Crazy last few days here. Tiny, our last emergency care baby moved on saturday, after a long weaning period she needed (6.5 months old), to a wonderful new home, AP and all!
And we got a new little baby on monday! Little girl with SN, 7 weeks.

And our little miss cotton ball button is still sick, we're home, but she has an infection and is not feeling well, needs a lot of care.
We have to take turns sleeping every other night, so I'm so tired I can hardly type. (Or probably can't.)
Everybody else is healthy and well!

How's everyone else doing?

Thanks for starting a new thread.

Pixie, you're amazing. I can't get over how much love you show these little ones. It's inspiring and I really do feel honored to know you, even if it's just over the internet.

Oh, thank you so much! I'm touched, I don't know what to say. You made my night! Or, probably my week!

You and your family truly are wonderful wonderful gifts to the universe, Pixie! Its true that even just a little bit of loving helps and is so important at the beginning.
We had a tsunami watch on Sat and our relatives are visiting from the mainland so that was umm exciting. It was a great chance to see just how prepared we could be and I think we did pretty well and I felt like the state did a pretty good job too.Pretty much the only thing I was worried about was that my dog hadn't had a bath and is kinda stinky to my 1st trimester nose and I also still need access to running water and flushing toilets because I am sooo pukey. Its actually why I knew about the warning before the sirens started going off, I had been up all night puking. I'm so grateful that my IL are here because they are so helpful with the HH chores and kids.
AM I wanted to add a big ole congrats on getting to 0 balance!!!!Awesome! It felt great to be able to say ha ha but it does stink to not really have anything to show for all of that bill.

I just shared this blog post on my Facebook and thought I would share it here as well:

She's definitely coming from a Christian perspective, but I thought it had a lot to say about the whole "how can you afford to send them all to college?!?!?!" thing.

I am subbing again this month, finding time for me at the moment is difficult.

Pixie you are amazing! It's wonderful you are looking after and caring for little ones. I have a half written email to you and I promise to finish and send to you very soon.

AM, Congrats on the $0

Welcome Betsy, I hope we get to know you soon.

And oh my guys, you're gonna make me cry or blush, or something, thank you so much, I'm very touched.

Sam, cool!

And, crittersmom, is that like, they think a tsunami might be coming? But it didn't? And shouldn't you be running to the mountains or something then?
(Yeah, I obviously know nothing about this. )

I'll have to take a look at this blog when I can sit longer! I hate the 'pay-for-college" questions. Hee. I haven't finished paying for college for myself yet, and hubby has a ton of loans. College for the kids is not really stressing me out as much as it seems to bother others.

In happier news though, baby prariebird #6 is here! He was 7 pounds even and delivered by C-section because he was coming one leg-first. It wasn't my dream birth by any means after all vaginal and most of them natural bitrh. But he's here and I'm slowly recovering. I'm fairly sure he'll be the last baby though, so I'm trying to savor every minute! He unfortunately has a terrible latch and needed bottle feedings of formula because my milk came in really late and he was very jaundiced. So I'm pumping now and hopefully will get him back to the breast when he's stronger. If not though, that's okay because I pumped for my firstborn exclusively too. It's weird not to have a huge milk supply though. I used to be a dairy cow!

Pixie I hope this new little one flowers in your care the way your other children have. Hugs to you and little miss.

Congratulations prairiebird

We are snowed under with all sorts of things going on at the moment and I am getting too grouchy and impatient. I'm looking forward to spring really coming at last and being able to spend more time outdoors without getting chilblains.

Congrats on the new little one, prariebird!

And orangefoot, I hear you. Everytime I think spring is coming, we get more snow dumped on us. GAH!

Wow, Pixie! Hope little miss gets stronger and stronger...and that that little one brings lots of joy and love to the house.

Congratulations Prairiebird on the new little one! You sound like you have a great attitude despite things not going as expected. One leg, huh? Wonder what kind of personality that one will have?! Good luck with the nursing.

I'm still recovering from four days of painting the kitchen. I'm halfway through my pregnancy and starting to feel huge belly in the way kind of pregnant! I'm very very excited about the baby now...very very excited!

Congratulations prairiebird! I can't believe that March is almost half over already!

Here I am just getting things together after having Spike, and now I am rushing head long into one of my busiest times of the year!

In the next 34 days I have to plan four birthdays, Ten days of Plagues, Passover, as well as the Crusifiction and Ressurrection Days. All include specialty menues as well as decor and activities.

Now, if only I can survive the mext month, I get to plan a family vacation!

So much to do, so little time........
