Co-sleeping and sleeping on his stomach

Is it safe for my son to sleep on his stomach while co-sleeping?

He's 5 1/2 months old. Right now, he put him to sleep on his back (although he usually ends up on his side.) Lately he has been rolling over in the early mornings and sleeping on his stomach. I try and roll him back over, but he either wakes up and gets mad, or just rolls back.

Is it safe to continue co-sleeping with a baby who sleeps on their stomach? Any tips to make it a safer environment?

Once my kids could roll themselves over onto there tummies I just left them there. I have coslept with all my tummy sleeping babies, I say your fine.
