advice on wraps please

Hiya babywearers!
I have and love a gauze wrap from Gypsy Mama and started to look for another wrap-style wrap so I could alternate as I use one in the shower and want it to dry, etc.
I have looked around at the Ellaroo wrap and also stretchy cotton (Gypsy Mama) vs. linen (lilpeeperkeepers) wraps - do you have any other favorites? Does the linen get wrinkly?
Do all Ellaroos have fringe on the ends? It looks kinda cool, but does it get in the way?

I think I might go with another Gypsy Mama but can't decide! Are there others I am not considering? (I have a Baby Hawk Mei Tai too, as well as the dreaded Bjorn one, so now I am only thinking on wrap-style carriers).

Thanks much!!

It's more expensive, but I love my Didymos wrap. There is also Girasol, Storch, Neobulle and some more. You can buy most brands at pieceofcloth.com or /sweet-pickles.com, but if you don't want to spend so much you should check out the FSOT (for sale or trade) forum on thebabywearer.com (But be warned- it's massive!)

"German-style wovens" (like Didymos) are a little thicker and also more comfortable as your baby grows and gets heavier than a gauze wrap like your GMBB (or do you have the Bali Strech? Which would be like a jersey.) I think if you love wrapping you would be well served to invest in one. I have two (one for the car/laundry day) and I wear my DD everyday. It's the most valuable piece of baby 'equipment' I own!

I think the owner of Pieceofcloth is a MDC Mama, so maybe she, or another wrap expert can chime in with more info. Good Luck!

If you are going to use this int he shower it might be a good idea for them to dry fast I guess... I would suggest a solarveil/solarweave one or a mesh one. I have a RS that is made of that for when I used to have to wear my babies while I was in the shower and it worked great!

The fringe on my ellaroo never got in the way at all. I do love my didymos, but once it gets warmer it's just too darn hot. It's great to have during the winter though.

If you want a wrap specifically for in the shower, there are mesh water wraps meant specially for that. I love my NeoBulle woven wrap to pieces, but I don't know how I'd feel about using it in the shower. It's thick and I don't know how comfortable that would be.
