My very verbal 2 year old is stuttering. I'm not sure if he's always done this or not, but I suddenly noticed it and now I can't seem to ignore it. I remember my husband mentioning it a month or two ago, but I didn't pay much attention because I hadn't really noticed. I think maybe I just assumed he was still trying to think of the words he wanted to use because he was still developing those verbal skills. However, it is very clearly now a stutter. Is this "normal"? I will add that he has had speech therapy before for an oral hyposensitivity that lead to severe drooling and an expressive speech delay, but he has now completely caught up and surpassed his peers with his speech. He has also been grinding his teeth more lately, which he has always done off and on. It's related to his sensory issues.
Any other stutterers out there? Is this something he'll outgrow, or should I follow up with his speech therapist again? (He "graduated" and isn't seeing her any longer.)
