Well since my dh has sever back problems bd'ing is really hard on him. What we do is have him ejaculate into a sterile cup and then I take a sterile baby syringe and suck it up and insert slowly. Then with my hips elevated I insert the syringe and an instead cup to keep everything up there for a while and give the sperm a chance, taking the instead cup out after I wake up in the morning

One of the ladies on our board who was ttc with a sperm donor did it this way as well and it worked for her! We are hoping that since bd'ing isn't really an option for us at this point that our 'at home' IUI will work just as well for us

ah. i wonder if an instead cup type device would help under normal circumstances too just to keep it all up there in the general area.

I know several ladies on some of my other boards who swear by it! It's not uncomfortable at all, and it keeps it right up on the cervix instead of the diva cup or the like which still keeps it up there, but a bit farther down...

There is even speculation of swaying the sex of the baby through using the cups, the instead cup for a boy and the diva cup for a girl. The thought process being that the deeper cup will favor the girl sperm. It's an interesting theory! I don't know if there is much science to it, but holding the sperm up there for longer should help reguardless

I use my divacup right now (more just because I hatehatehate feeling drippy) but am thinking about checking some Soft Cups when I order more pre-seed.

Took a cheapie tonight at 15dpo and it is negative. I know I shouldn't have, but this nausea is so intense I thought, what the heck, it was a free hpt. I'm totally easy right now, not upset at all. Actually, I am looking forward to doing some menstrual art!

I checked your chart out, and are you sure you've O'd? I'm wondering if you didn't O on 3/8 instead of when they have you marked...I know the cm doesn't match, but your temps never really seemed to go down to pre O temps and you've had nothing but a climb in temps since the 8th...hmm..I know if it was on the FAM setting and you had two more higher temps it would say 3/10 was your O date...that's one rocky chart!

Weekend Check-In

Name: Hesperia
Date: March 12th, 2010
Where are you in your cycle: Cycle day 31, 16dpo

Symptoms if they apply: Nausea and cramps. This month is really throwing me a loop. No sore breasts, skin broke out but is calm now, not moody, NO SPOTTING, no temp dip, lower temps all cycle!! My period is 'late' based off my O date set by FF.

When are you thinking of testing: I did yesterday, not positive.

Thoughts: Not really sure, I'm flicking back and forth often between cautiously hopeful and pretty sure AF is coming.

Appointments: Sigh, I tried to get some blood work done, but I was refused by the doctor. Calling back a fertility help center to get my blood work done there, that is all that is covered by my medical but might give me an idea.

Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Nope!

Do you have any stress triggers: No, I'm not really stressed out. Just patiently (and sometimes, not so) waiting for an answer.

What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Just trying to be. And know that very very soon is my time. I can feel it.

Partners feelings if applicable: He's excited and optimistic still.

Plans for this weekend: Hanging low. I need it!

It isn't just temps, they base it on CM and past cycle history too.

Ok, I'll play.

Name: Tear
Date: March 13th, 2010
Where are you in your cycle: CD12

Symptoms if they apply: Twinges in right ovary.

When are you thinking of testing: NEVER!!!! (yeah right)

Thoughts: I will remember that my goal is to get pregnant SOON, but it doesn't have to happen this month. I will remain calm.

Appointments: Today: 18mm follicle, LH surge, but low estrogen. hm...I still think I have a couple days to fix that one. I don't think the LH surge is the real deal; I don't usually O until CD15.

Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Thyroid medication. pooh.

Do you have any stress triggers: I might lose my job. omg.

What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: yoga, remembering to keep my sights slightly above the horizon, not on TODAY's symptoms.

Partners feelings if applicable: We're both tired of the rollercoaster, and already missing the relaxation of the forced break.

Plans for this weekend: Writing report cards. See how productive I'm being?

Love this! Need it today for sure. Sadly, when I look up, I feel a touch disappointed because I feel like AF is nearing.

What the heck is happening with your job??
oh man, school budget crisis = teacher layoffs. I'm not AT the bottom, but close enough to be worried. I carry the health insurance and such. My hubby is self-employed and building his business. It's growing, but we NEED my job! I suppose I'll find something if I have to, but I worked so frikkin hard to get where I am. le'sigh...

Weekend Check In

Name: Stephanie
Date: March 13th
Where are you in your cycle: CD15

Symptoms if they apply: Nothing, really.

When are you thinking of testing: OPKs only until AF is LATE

Thoughts: I hope this is the month, but I will be okay if it isn't. I am looking forward to completing my first chart. Maybe it will tell me something I don't know.

Appointments: N/A

Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc:
First full month of charting and using OPKs. So far, so good, as far as I can tell.

Do you have any stress triggers: My little guy has a fever, and he is really not feeling well. Not sure what is going on, and I hate it when he is obviously sick but can't tell me how he feels. This cycle has otherwise been pretty stress free.

What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Charting and OPKs are actually making me LESS stressed. I thought they would have the opposite effect. The process feels less mysterious and more like it is under my control...even though I haven't been at it long enough to have any answers.

Partners feelings if applicable: Always calm and supportive.

Plans for this weekend: Breastfeeding almost constantly until DS feels better. He insists, and I'm glad I can do something to help him feel better instead of just hoping and worrying.

Where are you in your cycle: CD22, 4DPO

Symptoms if they apply: Nada, I have a headache if that counts

When are you thinking of testing: Funny enough, I think this is the first cycle where I haven't planned my test date

Thoughts: I'm excited to see my cycles normalize after starting the Maca, my temps are normalizing as well, so if nothing else, at least I'm becoming a bit more predictable!

Appointments:
Nope, not anytime soon. My yearly is due next month and will mark the 1yr. milestone of us trying

Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc:
Not anything new, but sticking with my Maca and prenatals.

Do you have any stress triggers
: Not right now, its spring break

What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: I'm able to see the end of this school year! We are going to be xfering to a school a few hours drive away from my parents and it will help immensely! (we are a few days drive from my parents right now)

Partners feelings if applicable:
Not much. For once he actually got in the mood during my fertile window! We were both shocked since we seemed to be off all the other cycles.

Plans for this weekend: Cleaning We are getting a new bed on Monday and I'm looking forward to breaking it in
