Soy / Isoflavonoids ...what have they got to do with TTC?

Lately whenever Im researching ttc, I keep seeing soy or isoflavonoids from soy being mentioned.

What's this all about? Can someone explain please?

I don't know the specific mechanism by which they are said to work, but I do know that many women take them as if they are clomid- a certain dose on CD 3 - 7 or 5 - 9, etc. I think the estrogen-mimicking molecules in them act somewhat like clomiphene in that they can cause a spike in LH, or FSH, or something...

Anecdotal, but I have spoken with two women who feel that it worked for them. Never tried it myself.
