We're mushy tv free, we have a dvd player hooked up and will watch shows through netflix and online.
I'm so sad to be finished with the sopranos and was looking for recommendations for other series/hbo/tv to watch. we watched 6 feet under, and are caught up with big love till the new ones come out. we also watch true blood with a modicum of embarrassment (so bad yet so good!)
we like the aforementioned shows & don't want cop/legal/government-y kind of shows.. anyone have anything good?

DEXTER!!!

My husband and I love Nurse Jackie.

LOST!!!!!!! That will take you forver to get caught up on, meaning will keep your netflix busy for a while.

Dexter. Or Weeds. You could probably carry them through until the new series come out this spring/fall.

I adore Weeds. It is quirky, funny, and has really evovled over the last 5 seasons. We just finished the DVDs this weekend and will have to be patient for the new season.

Madmen is phenomenal (AMC). As is Breaking Bad (A&E).

Another one we just added to the queue is Rome. Deadwood looks good and the few episodes of that I've seen were good. But I guess you have to be into westerns. I've been eyeing the Wire (reporters in baltimore) or Entourage to add. And I've always wanted to watch Nip/Tuck but refused to pick it up mid-show - it seemed llike one you have to watch from the beginning.

Another one I really liked that was on for a while was Dead Like Me. This show is hilarious, about grim reapers, but they're just people like us. Good actors, too.

I've heard good things about Mad Men (we have some friends that have dress up like that era viewing parties).. and we put breaking bad in the queue already. We'll definitely give the others a viewing too. The only bad thing about selective viewing of tv is that you run out of stuff fast!
thanks for the recs!
