Hooray Bec! Nice job on today's race. Sorry the day started off stressful, but I'm glad they didn't hassle you too much about the registration.
Nic, sorry about DS's stomach bug. I'm glad your DH admitted that the car was beyond his power to fix and you're going to explore other options. Did you resist the urge to give an "I told you so"?

Runningmommy, that is SUCH a nice story about your step daughter! I'm so glad that she's recognized how important you've been to her life, and was willing to say as much to you. I think sometimes step parents don't get the credit they deserve.
Good luck tomorrow, Alex and Poppy! I hope you have great races.
No running for me this morning; I'll definitely go tomorrow. Instead of running, I took the kids to DH's family's donut shop this morning.

DH's mom died two years ago and left behind a collection of snow globes. My kids already have two each, and I don't want any more. My mother-in-law kept saying she was going to write a list of which one should go to whom, but she never did. I'm trying to get them into the hands of the kids in the generation following me, so my kids' second-cousins. There are 14 globes and 13 kids, some of whom I can't get ahold of. I don't know the best way to distribute the things (by age? by lottery?), and it's all turning chaotic. This morning at the donut shop I managed to track down some necessary emails, so I guess that's a success. I'm concerned that once I start giving some kids their first choices and some kids not, things will all fall apart. I'd make DH handle it, but the whole reason the snow globes have been in my house for two years is that DH and his sister simply cannot deal with anything about their mom's death. If I want them out, I've got to facilitate that.
But, it's a pretty good life when this is the biggest problem on my mind. I do recognize that and appreciate it.
Tomorrow I'll run.

Probably.
