Jen: How sad. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.
Bec: Congratulations on your race! Excellent time!
Gaye: That's fabulous news that you were accepted into nursing school! And it was fun hearing about your friend's 100 mile race.
With friends like that, Gaye, I have a feeling we'll be tracking your ultra-something one of these days!
Nick, I'm so glad to hear that things are going better with your dh.
Now, I wish you good car vibes and no-more-sick-kids vibes.
Alex & Poppy: Run Run Run!! You guys are going to do great! I can't wait to read your race reports.
Plady: I would try to take a bit of water for 9 miles, especially if it's your first in a while. Or can you run somewhere with water available so you don't have to carry it? Just better to be safe than sorry if you are out for anything over an hour, right?
Jo, I hope your dh musters up an apology that passes muster. And that you get your 8+ miler in today.
ashcav, how was your 12 miler?
JayGee: Aw, Happy Birthday to your DD! I love 6, it's such a wonderful age.
I didn't run today, but did 12 yesterday. It was pretty dang slow, averaging just at 11 min/mile. Acceptable for me, since it's my longest distance since last September, though I hope I can eke out something faster for the race on Apr. 10th. It's a small-town race with only a few hundred participants, and in the past few years, the slowest finishing time has been 2:15. That would actually be a PR for me, and still put me in last place. But I've decided to stand proud, not make self-deprecating remarks, and just run the best I can.
In other news, DH will be here in one week... and I'm both excited and nervous. We're really very emotionally distant from each other lately (oh, really?
) and I'm hoping that we can have fun together and get closer during his visit. Looks like this will be the last visit until July, when we are packing to move back home.
Arg, the clocks just moved forward last night, and it's driving me nuts already! I haven't even started supper and it's 7 pm and the kids are running around and I'm on the computer... I better dash!
