Pumping enough

So, I'd like to go out maybe once a month and let my in-laws watch my 7 month old. I don't pump well (or hand express well). I tried for 15 mins today, both sides, and got 1 oz. It could have been worse. LOL Home schooling 2, plus keeping my 4 year old out of trouble and caring for my 7 month old, I don't have a lot of time to pump.
I'm going to try to get 1 oz at a time and save up for an evening out. I don't have any bags yet, so I was wondering if I could add to the bottle each day. Starting today, that would give me enough for us to go out Friday or Saturday.
If we didn't go out, could I then freeze it in the bottle?

BM stays good in the fridge up to 7 days, so go ahead and add to it, and freeze it prior to 7 days after the first pumping.

I would use separate bottles for pumping and collecting, though.

How do you mean?

I mean don't pump on top of old milk. Put the old milk in the fridge and pump into clean containers.

Just an FYI, I do the same thing, but with bottles in the freezer (so I don't have to worry about milk going bad after 7 days).

I pump, and then pour into a bottle to go in the freezer. The next time I pump, I just pour whatever I get into the same bottle in the freezer, ect.

Just an FYI - if you are adding liquid milk to frozen milk in the same container, make sure that the added volume is LESS than the frozen volume so that the frozen milk doens't partially thaw when the liquid is added. You don't want to partially thaw it and then have it refreeze.

So if the original volume was 2 oz when liquid, and is now frozen, add no more than 2 ounces of new liquid to it.
