DS has been going in the potty 99% of the time for about 5 months now (he's 26 mo now), as long as he's not wearing pants, he usually wears baby legs and an oversized shirt or onesie. I've tried pants, like in the morning I'll take off his nightime diaper and put his jammy pants back on or zip him back into the sleeper. I'll tell him he doesn't have a diaper on so tell mommy when he has to potty. He always pees in his pants. I figured I shouldn't fight it, and he'll let me know when he's ready. Has anyone else waited to transition to clothes on for pottying?

pottying with pants on?

My DS was exactly the opposite of yours at first. If he was naked he would happily just pee wherever he was because the stream would go out away from his body. It was only if he was wearing clothes that he could feel the wetness, and he didn't care for that so he would use the potty. lol My experience has been that right about the time I'm wondering if a certain phase is ever going to end, he decides he's ready to move on to the next phase. I don't know when exactly it happened, but he can run around naked now and doesn't pee in the floor anymore. My guess is, that if you keep doing what you're doing now, you'll look back in a month or two and realize he's wearing pants and he's dry!

Yeah I hear this happens all the time. I don't know the answer but I figured I'd give you a friendly bump and see if anyone else had ideas. We are at 25months and JUST starting our potty journey but she's another that needs to be naked or she forgets. So. . . . .I'm guessing this will be us in another few weeks.

I hope there are some more posts because we have the same problem. DD is 28 months and has been using the potty since 21 months as long as she is naked. She's pretty much 100% trained with no clothes. As soon as I put on underwear or pants she either 1.) pees in them or 2.) takes all her clothes off. I can't figure how to keep her in clothes long enough to have her learn how to use the potty when dressed. She loves being naked and pretty much refuses to wear clothes at home.

I have the same problem. DS is 27 months. He wakes up dry in the mornings and goes without pants all day with no accidents. He will even poo on the toilet or his little potty chair. But if he wears underwear, he wets them, and if he's in a Pull-Up he will poop in it every single time. I hope someone who's BTDT will post, because I have no idea what to do!

So I wrote that post yesterday and today DD used the potty once for pee and once for poop and she was wearing underwear at the time!! So there is hope! Now I just have to get her to do this consistently and then use the big potty and public potties. So more hurdles to go, but at least I saw some hope today.
