Parathyroid levels and breastfeeding, what's normal?

I just found out that I have high parathyroid levels, high calcium levels, and low vitamin D levels. I am 5 months postpartum and exclusively breastfeeding. So far, nobody is able to tell me if any of this might be caused by lactation. I know that lactating women usually have higher calcium in their blood, since they are transporting it through their breast milk, but could this have anything to do with parathyroid?

I'm trying to get some answers, and some support, but I haven't been searching the internet for fear of being even more worried than I am. I just want someone to tell me if this is really serious or not, as in, am I in grave danger or something, or is this easily treatable? The doctors I have spoken with have not been as much help as I would have liked, and the info they have given me is vague, but they don't seem overly worried. Please tell me anything you can about your experiences with this, especially positive ones. I'm feeling a little down about this and would really love some reassurance. Thanks, in advance.

I see this was posted a long time ago but did you ever get any answers?? I have been doing a lot of research on this too as found out the same - I am going for a parathyroid scan next week to check for a tumour on parathyroid gland (hyperparathyroidism). There is a website parathryroid.com which has a lot of info from Dr Norman in Tampa and a facebook support group as well:)
