Sometimes...

I just can't get anything done.

I can't believe how much of my day goes into...
cleaning kids,
cooking,
picking up a mess,
answering a gazillion questions
potty training,
snacks,
getting kids dressed,
getting kids dressed for outside,
getting kids undressed from being outside,
cleaning up potty mistakes,
diffusing fights and misbehavior betweetn siblings,

it goes on and on, and as you know this is just what comes in-between everything else that "needs" to get done on a regular basis.

Just needed to vent... Thanks

Hey, if that was your day, that sounds pretty action-packed to me!

I spent four hours today trying to get my 4.5-month-old to nap. Unsuccessfully. That was my day. Yay, me.

So yeah, I feel your pain!

Yes, and it drives me crazy!!! It's why I decided against homeschooling-- household/child related tasks and trying not to have a nervous breakdown take up all my time.

yup. and the most frustrating part of it all for me is looking around my house at all of the things that i would love to work on -- mostly organizing tasks that would be really great to have done... and i have absolutely no time for any of them. or if i get a rare 15 minutes i can get started, and --wham-- suddenly interrupted. like today by some miracle i got both kids actually napping together. my 3 year old was really wiped out to fall asleep like that. rare. well it lasted about 15 minutes before the baby woke up. that was the end of that. so, 15 minutes of work on organizing craft supplies. started and then stopped. now its 11:30 at night, i'm coming down with the kids' sore throat, and i don't feel like doing anything but sitting down, watch a little TV and look at the computer before going to bed. (and ps: it's so late b/c, due to the 3 yo's rare nap, she would not go to sleep on her normal 7-8 pm schedule; i was up with her reading books until darn near 10 pm... i guess the nap wasn't much worth it, except that she is getting over the cold, so i guess she needed it.)
anyway, vent away. i'm right there with ya.

I notice you have a 2yo. Now that my DD is 3 it is SO much easier to get things done. Of course, 3 has its challenges too, and so it goes..
