Borage Oil Question (Possible TMI)

I started using BO 2 days ago, and I have noticed an increase in contractions. Is that normal? Also is it also normal to have an increased amount of discharge with the use of BO? I've been inserting one capsule two times a day, and I am also taking it orally.

Borage oil is used to stimulate labor very late in pregnancy. It's a uterine stimulant and does cause contractions.

Thank you I did some nipple stimulation last night, and it definitely brought on more contractions. We're trying to get this baby to come in the next two weeks if possible because that is when my husband will be home. I know he won't arrive until he is ready, but it makes me feel better to be doing "something."

Yes, borage oil can and will bring on contractions in a pregnant woman. I think it works and is used in a similar way to when women use evening primrose oil, or blue and black cohosh. I don't know much specifically about the method of using the borage oil (how long it takes and whether it's taken orally and/or internally). As anyone would of course advise, you should be careful when doing this and are ideally doing it under the supervision of a doctor or midwife.
