Can Dr. Personality be different with patients

because of insurance, or maybe they are not accepting of disabilty people ?

Why I'm wondering this because mom set me up with this appt 2 months before I could see the doctor whose an internist because mom thought this doctor would help me wonderful and I would only have to deal with 1 doctor .

She met this doctor before and thought she was great with my stepfather so througho , great listening, and great bedside manner.

When I saw her she was *cold manner* and not a very good listener .

I have thyroid issues and I need them checked every 4-6 wks I had to repeat myself but she still didn't listen

So I was like sigh she wanted me to wait 3 months for me to get my tsh checked so I tried to speak to her nurse about it and she said no can do your schedule to get it checked in may hence it's been nearly 4 wks since my last tsh checked so I would have to wait 8 wks more to get it checked with her .

So I was frustrated and pissed off at this doctor that I set up the appt with dr. sorrelli a endo who I see march 24th and then i called to speak to his nurse to see if I can get my tsh levels checked because they go up and down so quickly . She goes okay let me see what dr. ferries (the endo who retired) said so she goes you can get your tsh next week hence the notes from dr. ferries proably said 4-6 wks meaning the internist never read my previous endo notes otherwise she would have seen how serious my thyroid issues are !

So then mom saw her too right after her vacaton and mom thought she was great with her because mom had a great visit with her & thought she was so througho with her because mom got bloodwork right away .

I'm on medcaid and mom with my stepfather is on blue cross.

I have disablities but they don't .

We have never had a problem with Doctors because of my daughter's special needs. Same with insurance because we are on a MO Medicaid Provider.

Now we have had problems because of personality conflicts and communication issues. So I just switched providers/specialists.

Could it be because of age? That because your Mom and Step Dad are older the Doctor relates to them better?

I would go find another Doctor. You have to be comfortable with who ever is treating you.
