Heavy baby who's stuck to me like glue!

So my 6-month old is almost 21 pounds, and I pretty much hold her in my arms all day long, all night long too. I have a sling (over the sholder baby holder), but she fusses when I have her in it. My arms are starting to throb by the end of the day, she's fussy, so we spend a lot of time just walking around the house. Would a mei tai be better, or will she be too heavy and end up hurting my back? I was looking at the Baby Hawk online, but they're really expensive if I'm not going to love it!

I'd try something on your back. At about that point I found ds was just too heavy to be on my front for too long.

Yup, do something that can help you back carry. Mei Tai or soft structured carrier (ergo, beco, etc) will definitely be what you need.

I would recommend

I loved the ergo with my DD who was very big and tall. I find it super easy to adjust and super comfortable. Hope you find something that works for you!

Thanks ladies, I'll check those out!

I really prefered a mei tai at that age. I could easily switch between front and back carries without having to adjust straps or struggle with the clips when doing a front carry in my beco or ergo. Check your local craigslist for baby hawks, I see them all the time here.
