Anyone else want to start taking better care of themselves? - Page 3

I took a shower today!

And believe you me, that is a tremendous accomplishment for me. It requires many musical numbers on my part to entertain two incredibly clingy children while I wash my hair in under 30 seconds.

And I brushed my hair and wore it down today. And I wore some fun socks. But I didn't leave the house, so I didn't dress up too much.

Of course you're adorable! You still get points for brushing your hair!

I didn't wear anything cute today. Just a tshirt with jeans and tennies. And I had mascara ON but that's because I didn't take it off from yesterday. . It still counts in my book.

Great I have to shower daily because I am convinced that I always smell bad Even though I am pretty sure my students would tell me if I did I just have this in my head

Thanks, I think for a fluffy girl, I am pretty cute I love the bunny too!

Wow your mascara lasts that long??? Mine is usually worn off by day's end

Dh brought up going out last night when my mom came to town...but she didn't show up. She's supposed to tonight, though. But I got all gussied up to go out and dh and I sat around reading jokes online.

For mascara-I have Double Extend mascara. There's a white and the black and it's layered. I love it because it doesn't rub off and comes off with just water if you wipe it off. Lasts through swimming and sleeping without raccoon eyes. And it works really well. I am a mascara snob and will go through 5 kinds before I find one I like. I highly recommend this one-it will last days if you don't wipe it off when you wash your face.

I went through some clothes in my attic and brought out my slightly too small nice skirts and such to motivate me to keep working out so I can fit in them this summer. I got so many nice skirts at Goodwill I haven't even been able to wear yet!

And I bought earrings and a new belly button ring.

Oh! I just found this thread! Can I join in too?!

I had been going pretty well with taking care of myself until a couple of months ago, so I really want to start again!

My goals are:

* Moisturise my whole body after I bathe
* Start wearing make up daily again (I get my eyelashes tinted so that involves concealer and powder)
* Start wearing accessories again (I was big on earrings and bracelets and rings for a while but have stopped recently)
* Have a long bath once a week and give myself a pedicure, manicure, facial, hair treatment and exfoliate my body
* Start washing my face before bed (which I do if I wear make up, so make up is kind of a two for one!)
* Do some sort of cardio and stretching everyday
* Eat breakfast and take my vitamins every day
* Drink more water and try and drink some green tea during the day instead of black tea all the time.

Lordy that sounds like alot! I know I can do it though! I used to do it everyday, so I don't see why I can't now. It's all about giving myself a talking to!

Today was a total lazy day for me. It is saturday

Tomorrow my goal is to put away Mt. Laundry and organize some cute outfits for the week

Today was a good day.

I took a long bath.

I went on a walk at the lake park.

I made a huge pot of vegetable soup.

It was a sunny lazy day spent with DD.

Sounds like a great day Faith

Today I went shopping and bought three new tops and a spring purse

Two of the shirts are in different colors of blue and one is supposed to be yellow. I am color blind so I rely on my Mom and the sales people to tell me what color things are But I generally wear a lot of darker colors so I think wearing something springy will be nice for a change

I think I will wear one of the new shirts tomorrow. Even though it isn't spring here yet

How long have you had this little buddy?

It's nice to hear all that people are doing for themselves.

I thought I haven't been doing anything because really I'd like to be exercising more but I'M SOOO TIRED!!!

But then I realized, hey, I have been reading a wonderful book non-stop for days now, recently shopped a little for myself (new shoes ). That's good. And I'm growing out my hair which look SO much better. I finally said YES when my mom offered to have the girls sleepover this weekend, and dh and I had a Grey's Anatomy marathon. So that's all good!

Sometime in March we are going to move the two girls into one room together and I am going to go back into the master bedroom with dh for the first time in more than 2 years. I'm sure we'll have nighttime visitors coming for cuddles and fall asleep with us. That's okay, but it'll be nice to spend a little more time together.

My parents adopted him in 2005 He was around 1 then. He is a good cat

Today I put away all of my clothes and arranged two weeks worth of outfits. (My name is Jaime and I am a clothes addict). Then I cleaned my room and put some things away I think I will be under less stress now that I am better organized.

I went for a long run with a friend today. This is something that a few months ago I would have never done because it ment leaving dh in charge of the kids, plus ds had a friend over and dh had work he needed to get done, but I did it anyway!!!

Well, I did manage to get the bath in yesterday and do all the beauty treatments, but that's about it!

I also sorted out my wardrobe and organised my clothes and put aside all the ones that don't fit anymore (28kg down! Thankyouverymuch!)

Does anyone else find that it's such a vicious cycle? Right now I'm so tired and have been for weeks. I KNOW that eating right, exercising and taking care of myself would give me more energy but I can't find the energy, motivation or will power to do it, and then I get more tired and it's even harder to do and everything just sort of spirals down from there!

Sorry to be a downer on such a positive thread! I've just been pretty down lately, and finding everything to be a bit overwhelming!

My theory is: put crap in to your body, get crap out of your body

My body functions so much better when I eat healthy. That isn't stopping me from craving Little Ceasar's Crazy bread at the moment though Seriously, I was so tempted to go get some today but I just know that I will feel bad for a week if I do!

I went for a short walk this morning and I just ate a spinach salad with tuna and tomatoes. Breakfast was a bowl of oatmeal. Baby steps...
