loop fabric?

I'm hoping some diaper making mamas can help me! A few years ago, when I was making diapers for my daughter, I purchased loop fabric from an online store. It is like the loop half of velcro except it softer and more pliable and is purchased in yardage. I can't remember where I go it...anyone know what I'm talking about?

Are you talking about Aplix ot touch tape?

Verybaby.com used to carry it. I really liked it for wraps, but they don't seem to have it anymore.???

hookandloop.com seems to have some, but I don't know if it is soft like the one very baby had.

Very Baby still sells both Aplix and Touchtape, which are brand names for hook and loop (as is Velcro).

Aplix is generally softer than touchtape, but touchtape is really, really grabby... so if you have a kid who likes to pull off their diapers, touchtape can present a bigger challenge

Yes, Very baby still has those. I believe the OP is looking for a loop fabric that they used to sell but no longer have on their site. It was much more pliable than the tapes and was a piece of fabric cut by the yard.

Thank you all for your replies! Possum had it right--it was the loop fabric from verybaby. Too bad they don't carry it anymore. And thanks for the link to hookandloop.com, I'll have to check that out.


I've used both aplix & touchtape when making diapers but now just want more of the loop fabric for other sewn/crafty stuff. I love it! For those of you who haven't used it before it is amazing. I would make velcro covers/diapers and put a big piece of this across the front and there is no hard plastic underside/edge and it is so easy to sew around and on. Great stuff!
