Have to miss DS2's MFE/IEP transition meeting

I asked the other day at school about it, and she told me that everyone finally got back, and they only have 3 available times. None of which will work for us. I originally thought I was free that day, but when I checked my calendar, I already have something scheduled that day that will prevent me from being available for it. And I cannot reschedule what I already have down.

Can you send someone else in your place? Is that even "allowed"? Your husband? An advocate?

It's an issue for us all the time...in fact I almost missed Connor's first day of school today because I have been taking so much time off work recently for so many other meetings/appts. My husband can handle some of it, but not all and I'm a bit of a control freak anyway

We talked about it, but because he needs the Van, since he would have both Aidan and Ali, I wouldn't have a means of getting to/from Court.

If he would only get MY CAR fixed it wouldn't be a problem. He cannot fit both a booster and carseat in his work truck. Heck, you can barely fit two adults in his work truck.

How did Connor's first day of school go? Hopefully it went well.

We have to also get with the private school we want to put him in to see if there is anything that needs to be specific in his IEP about it..and DH is so "absent" minded at times so to speak it would be worthless. I mean I sent him to Nathan's Urologist appointment, he walked out agreeing to get him Circ'd w/o the Urologist even examining Nathan, just looking at his records (and he is only ever had one suspected kidney infection in his 7 years).

They need to figure it out - you have the right to be there. I'd let them know that they must find an acceptable time for you or that you will not agree for them to have the meeting.

But that's just me.
