Cravings (probably not the thread for you if you are still sick...)

I have been craving... like... hardcore CRAVING OMG WANT NEED WANT NEED eggs and potatoes... and because I cant handle boiling an entire pot of potatoes just to make eggs and potatoes... my mom gave me some extras from her mashed potatoes the other night.

So YAY! Eggs and potatoes for supper! I am so excited its making me starve just thinking about it!

Other than taco bell early on this is the strongest craving I have had so far... but I look forward to more

with DD I craved italian beef and didnt find one that satisfied that craving until AFTER she was born! I also craved Cotton Candy Ice Cream and the moment I took a bite I wanted to throw it away... ewwwwwww.

Also italian tomatoes on french bread! Granted, I crave that even when not pregnant.

Also with her I craved tomatoes in ranch dressing, orange juice, tomato juice, strawberries...

and yet none of those sound good right now. I just want eggs and potatoes!

I haven't had eggs in days yet every morning I go to fix them thinking I do.

I craved pickles so badly that when I finally got a jar I ate like 4 in a row at 10am.

Then this morning I craved cake donuts from a mom and pop type shop. I settled for the bakery ones at the grocery store.

Now all I want is the greasey, pepperoni pizza that you get from arcades/Chuck E Cheese type places. I can smell it.

At the doctors office there was a picture of olives and OMG that made me want them.

With DS I craved a Jelly donut for like 12 hours! I got the craving just after the store closed and had to wait for DSs father to get home to go get me one...

and when I got it it was gross

I'm craving salty foods right now. I wanted pizza the other day even though it's giving me indigestion. I love my salt and vinegar potato chips.

Iced tea, veggie sandwiches with stone ground mustard (usually not a fan), and ice cream. Sooo glad to be finally eating again.

Bruegger's bagel with salmon, cream cheese and capers - my current fixation. Last week it was Taco Bell.

Chicken nuggets! I think I'm over the cream cheese thing. I've been dreaming about pasta salad Im going to make up a big bowl and eat it til I'm sick of it!

I like apples with peanut butter. It's a great snack! I think the apples help me with my thirst as well.

I've been craving eggs too. Never for breakfast though (I tried once and it was not good).
My cravings last weeks was greek salad. No lettuce just the cucumber, tomato, pepper and red onion form with yummy greek dressing and lots of feta.
My standby the whole time so far has been sour...salt and vinegar chips (not usually a fan), and lemonade. Also bruschetta on a nice baguette.

I am getting more excited the closer it gets to supper time. I want my eggs and potatoes! I think I may make some biscuits too.

Definitely been on an eggs kick here, too. With DS2 I was really into eggs with potatoes, but this time I'm digging eggs + sriracha hot sauce + toast with a LOT of butter. Mmmmm...

Eggs always make me feel gaggy, even when not pregnant. When I was studying in Guatemala one summer, I lived for over a month with a host family....

One day they were so excited to tell me that, instead of eating all the traditional Guatemalan food at dinner (including black beans and rice, one of my very favorite things), they were going to make AMERICAN pizza! It was a very sweet effort to do something nice for me, though in reality I was totally blissed out on the food they'd been serving.

So all day the talk was of dinner, of pizza, and of how happy I'd be. I even got into it a little, and looked forward to tasting pizza after all these weeks (and upcoming months) of no pizza. Welllll....what arrived was not pizza. It was a round "crust" circle of fluffy, crispy/oily scrambled egg, with CATSUP on it as sauce, then some crumbled white cheese (cold) over that.

Oh dear.

I was never a fan of eggs, even before that, but after choking three of those "pizzas" down, smiling and thanking them the whole time, I will never think fondly of eggs.

And on the subject....I guess I'm not really craving anything right now. The huge, long-lived avocado on crispy whole wheat pita craving is gone. I went through a big watermelon/fruit thing for a while...and now it's really nothing.

I can eat almost anything now, including sweets (total no-go for the last several weeks), but I don't really enjoy anything greasy or fatty. I'm still much happier on plain foods...especially veggies.

A veggie sandwich sounds pretty darn good, actually.... might have to work on that tonight.

I don't really even like olives, but I've been craving olives. I begged for my lunch buddy's olives out of his salad. I promptly went to the grocery store to the olive bar. I also bought a jar while I was there. .... mmm

I've been eating a lot of grits lately too. mmm

I laughed my butt of when I logged on an saw this thread because literally as I was opening my internet browser, I turned to DH and said, I'm really craving thinly sliced, marinated grilled potatoes...I know it's weird, but I dunno I feel like I could shovel a whole plate of them down right this second

I was all about tomatoes and potatoes with DS and eggs too. But now eggs make me puke. And all I want are citrus fruits, anything sour, and SPICY food (like curries and such).
Olives, pickled ginger, lemons and oranges, and non-stop Indian food!

I heard once that if you crave citrus you are having a girl and if you are turned off by it you are having a boy. I WAS turned off by it with DS. Old wives tales keep us old wives busy while gestating.
