My four year old daughter is spirited and energetic and bored being home with Mom and 1 year old sister. We just moved to the downtown Phoenix area and I would love to sign her up for preschool.
Here's my dilemma: she needs physical activity to get all that energy out, while also stimulating her mind. I have found that in Montessori they get tons of intellectual stimulation and almost no physical activity until recess at noon. That is pretty standard for older kids, but as long as she is little and we have the choice, I would rather she have more fun and exercise.
We also tried a more typical preschool when she was younger, but I found that she was getting bored. Can you think of some activities where I can drop her off for a few days a week, for a few hours at a time, and have her get the awesome intellectual experience of Montessori, while also getting exercise to burn off that energy?
