Your opinion on this article

I just found this and think it's very comprehensive... seems to be very well cited/lots of resources. I just recently had a conversation with someone about this (autism and vaccines link) and it boiled my blood. This article seems to have so many of his arguments proven wrong. But I'd like to know what others' responses are to this.

Anyone seen/read this and what is your response? Is it comprehensive? Is it lacking? I'm still learning (we're a none yet/delayed vax'ing fam) and found this to answer all the arguments I've had hurled at me, with resources/ citations.

Thanks!

It may or may not be a good article, I don't know because I didn't read it. The main problem is going to be that Andrew Wakefield's name is the first name on it and his name has been all over the news as having been recently discredited . . . many people will know this and automatically reject the article as being junk science because his name is on it. I know that I wouldn't be able to use it with the informed people in my life because of his affiliation with it.

I actually had read this some time ago and I think all of it's point are extremely valid, but PP is right in that it is basically from Thoughful House which is affiliated with Andrew Wakefield. People who are ignorant and uninformed about vaccines with automatically discount it based on the recent events (GMC findings and the Lancet retracting the original article)

Thank you...

I first read it w/out even seeing Wakefield's name (though I did know it was from Thoughtful House and what they do).

I thought it had great arguments, to many of the stoopid things people have said to me/claimed. But you're right. Wakefield's name unfortunately does put a damper on things. Looking back over the article, Wakefield (as author) is only cited in about 4 of the 174 references.

I just wonder if the arguments for each claim cited in the article is/are comprehensive and thorough... or are they too loose, leaving out half the 'other' information (I read that assessment of InsideVaccines too. So I'm trying to keep an open mind).

I'm still learning, mommas, thanks for your thoughts.
