twin pregnancies and hcg increase?

Okay - I plugged my 4 day hcg rates (from 14dop to 18dpo) into this calculator: http://babymed.com/tools/pregnancy/hcg/Default.aspx and it says that I'm having high rates of doubling. I can't find exact data to compare it to online to see if it is a possible twin pregnancy. Can someone humor my early pregnancy obsession and tell me what their rates were?

14 dpo - 214
18 dpo - 1259

Thanks!

I only have one... and have only ever had one... but my brothers exfiance was pregnant with his twins and never once was her hCG amounts questioned (even though they were closely monitored)

As much as people want to tell you it is, its NOT a reliable sign of multiples. Many twins have seemingly normal increase, many singletons double extremely fast (with DD I had a bfp test by 6dpo... and doubled at what would seem to be a twin rate but very much was one healthy little baby the whole time... I had ultrasounds at 4, 6 and 8 weeks to be sure!)

So I would just be happy that its a healthy increase and nothing at all to worry about if I were you. If it ends up being twins... it does. But in almost all cases, knowing this soon wont do you a single bit more good other than heartbreak if, God forbid, it turned out to be a disappearing twin.

I am having one baby and my HCG levels skyrocketed early on. Then I got hyperemesis (which does NOT mean that you will get it).. It's just not too reliable, unfortunately. If the levels were really low, it might be cause for concern but I'd say you're doing great!
