So the doctors say wait 6 weeks. I'm not even 5 weeks out yet. And I broke the rules and it was okay! Waaayyy better than I expected. Just another reason why I"m glad I got my VBAC!
Also funny.... DH asks if we should DTD and I say that I've never listened to the doctors before, so why start now. heh.

I only waited around 19 days both times. I actually never had the Dr/mw tell me to wait 6 weeks. Dr didnt tell me anything mw said whenever I felt up to it and for me that was when my bleeding had stopped or nearly stopped with only light spotting.

Good for you! We are def. ready to DTD but have been too busy/tired. I'm hopeful it will happen soon. With Robin we waited 9 weeks because I was nervous about my tearing... so glad I avoided that this time around!!

If I could get all three kids to sleep at the same time, we would, but alas....

My m/w said there's no medical reason to wait the 6 weeks if you're feeling good to go. I was good to go at 3.5 weeks but with three kids in the house, there's never time, energy or a place.

We were DTD at 2 weeks after i stopped bleeding as much. I didn't tear and felt comfortable doing it. I'm such a horndog I can't go more than a day without it. Those 2 weeks were torture LOL

I'm a little like Sharlla. lol
With DD1 we DTD at 3 weeks, so I knew we wouldn't last til 6 weeks this time. (Also, it wasn't bad, but I spend a couple of months scared of the initial penetration) This time, we DTD at 10 days PP. And it was just barely uncomfortable! We've been DTD pretty frequently lately (every other day or so) and as long as we have a bit of lube handy, I'm good to go. I think it helps that I didn't tear this time.

Lord, I'm 6 weeks on Saturday and my internal stitches still haven't dissolved. The last thing either of us wants is a penis injury!

No tears or anything and the bleeding stopped at 2.5 weeks so we went for it at 3 weeks. It was the same the last two times too. I've never had a doc tell me to wait for anything other then the bleeding to stop and when I feel up to it.

I stopped bleeding about a week ago (at 3 weeks pp) and I think my one stitch is finally entirely gone so we'll probably give it a go tonight or tomorrow. I've been really WANTING to dtd for the past two weeks, and my libido never really dropped after the birth, so these four weeks have been hell waiting.

Me too. We waited about seven days I think. I had no tears, my bleeding was slowed way down. . .I felt great. That week 'bout killed me too. teehee.

Hey Dea - what was it like compared to the post cesarean sex? After my cesarean I had some killer internal pain that really never went away properly - it spoiled sex an awful lot because I gt scared

Now I haven't had sex yet (I'm a bit worried because it was always so painful before) and I'm wondering if my VBAC "cured" that whole deal, like, maybe broke some of the adhesions or something? Are you finding it more comfortable this time than last time?

We wait 40 days and that was Friday. We were in a hotel room w/our kids so no-go. Saturday I started my period. Dh was very understanding.

Hey, we did it!! It was actually really easy compared to last time when I'd torn. Felt pretty much like it used to!

I had an episiotomy and have been told to wait two months with sex. I am a little worried what 's it going to be like because of the cut. It still doesn't feel right but I am hoping that it will heal fine. Heard lots of bad things about episiotomies though...
